Dr. Milhem specializes in working with neurodiverse populations. she works with children, teens, young adults, and families to help assess and understand individual profiles and develop skills around emotion regulation, communication, executive functioning and compliance. She collaborates with families and schools to first assess the child's skills and determine both strengths and weakness. Once a clear profile is developed, Dr. Milhem works with the family to create a comprehensive treatment plan that focuses on independent skill building and coping so that your child can reach his or her potential at home, school, and out in the community. She strives to build plans that are individualized to the families needs and approaches intervention from a holistic perspective, inviting conversations and consultation with teachers, medical providers, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, and school staff. In addition, Dr. Milhem consults with schools and outside agencies to ensure that the intervention planning is consistent across each of the child's environments.
